Our Purpose

The Society is an association of attorneys, judges, canon lawyers, and others who work in or closely with the legal profession within the Diocese of Toledo, formed to promote and foster high ethical principles in the legal community and, in particular, in the community of Catholic legal professionals, as exemplified by the life of St. Thomas More.

Our Purpose

To sponsor the annual Red Mass; to meet on a regular basis for Holy Mass, to discuss general Society business, and for fellowship, all in furtherance of the Society's purpose; and to promote and uphold the highest standards and best traditions of the legal profession consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.

Our History

The Society was formally established by the Most Reverend Daniel E. Thomas, Bishop of Toledo, at the Red Mass celebrated on October 8, 2017.
